Meet Craig Williams – Featured Speaker

Craig Williams’ journey into financial literacy and insurance began in 2022, when he became licensed to sell life and health insurance. However, his mission quickly became much bigger than just selling policies—it became about advocacy, education, and empowerment, particularly for people of color, who have historically been underserved and overlooked in financial services.

Early in his career, Craig noticed a troubling trend: many white-owned agencies prioritized commissions over client needs, pushing policies that benefited their bottom line rather than truly protecting families. Seeing firsthand how these practices left Black and Brown communities financially vulnerable, he knew he couldn’t operate the same way.

Determined to do things differently, Craig made a commitment: the individual would always come before the commission. He became a fiduciary, bound by a legal and ethical duty to put his clients’ best interests first. Unlike many in the industry, he refuses to push products based on commission structures, instead focusing on comprehensive, customized solutions that genuinely serve the needs of each client.

Understanding that wealth protection goes beyond just insurance, Craig is currently completing his coursework to become a Certified Estate Planner (CEP). This allows him to guide clients beyond life insurance by helping them establish wills, trusts, and wealth transfer strategies to ensure that their families are protected for generations.

Craig is more than just an insurance professional—he’s a trusted financial advocate committed to closing the wealth gap, providing families with generational financial protection, and ensuring that communities of color have access to the best coverage available.

His approach is simple: education first, sales second. Craig believes that when people understand their financial options, they make empowered decisions that protect their families, build wealth, and create legacies.

By staying true to his mission, Craig is not just selling insurance—he’s reshaping the financial future for generations to come.
