Byrd Cancer Foundation to Host 2026 All Things Cancer + Wellness Expo Offering Free Screenings and Community Resources in Philadelphia
Philadelphia, PA — March 18, 2026 — The Byrd Cancer Education & Advocacy Foundation will host the 3rd Annual All Things Cancer + Wellness Expo on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City, bringing together healthcare professionals, survivors, advocates, and community organizations for a day of education, empowerment, and access to care.
With a continued focus on addressing disparities in cancer care, this year’s theme, “Wellness in Action: Closing the Care Gap Together,” highlights the importance of equitable access to prevention, early detection, and survivorship resources—particularly for underserved communities.
The free, public event will feature a wide range of no-cost health screenings, including:
- Breast and chest health screenings
- Skin cancer screenings
- Prostate cancer screenings (PSA blood testing)
- Oral cancer screenings
- HPV self-sampling for cervical cancer screening
- Blood pressure, glucose, A1C, and cholesterol screenings
“These screenings are more than services—they are access points,” said Trudean Haye, Executive Director of the Byrd Cancer Education & Advocacy Foundation. “For many individuals, especially in underserved communities, this may be the first opportunity to receive preventative care, ask questions, and connect with trusted providers. That is how we begin to close the care gap.”
A Day of Expert-Led Conversations and Community Impact
The expo will feature a series of panel discussions and keynote programming designed to address critical topics across the cancer care continuum.
The event’s keynote speaker, Dr. Eugene Storozynsky, MD, PhD, Enterprise Chief of Cardio-Oncology at Jefferson Health, will deliver a featured address on the intersection of heart health and cancer treatment, highlighting the growing importance of cardio-oncology in improving long-term survivorship outcomes.
Additional sessions will explore:
- Health equity in cancer care
- Sexual health and wellness after cancer
- Emotional support for survivors and caregivers
- Patient and care team perspectives
Each session will include opportunities for audience engagement and live Q&A, ensuring attendees can connect directly with experts and advocates.
