After two rounds of chemotherapy, she made the tough choice to pause her treatment at 36 weeks to safely deliver her daughter, Journi. Just weeks after giving birth, Alicia resumed her cancer treatment while learning to balance motherhood with recovery.

Though it was an incredibly difficult journey, Alicia’s love for her daughter kept her going. Her experience helped her discover her purpose—advocating for other expectant mothers who find themselves facing cancer. She created Journi For Two, an organization that provides emotional support, medical guidance, and financial resources to pregnant women battling cancer. Alicia’s mission is to ensure that no woman has to go through this challenge alone, and that it’s possible to manage both treatment and pregnancy.

Alicia’s story is one of strength, faith, and a commitment to helping others. She has turned her own struggle into a way to support and encourage others who are in similar situations. Her goal is to make sure that every woman battling cancer while pregnant knows they can still fight for both their health and the life of their child.
