Nancy Chamberlain’s career has been defined by dedication—to her country, her profession, and her own fight against breast cancer. A graduate of the TU School of Nursing, she was commissioned into the Army Nurse Corps, serving eight years and achieving the rank of Captain. Her service included a deployment in the Gulf War during Operations Desert Shield/Storm, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to helping others.
Following her military career, Nancy spent two decades working as a Cardiac Cath/EP Nurse before transitioning into healthcare administration and management consulting. She is currently pursuing further education in the Nurse Practitioner Program at Purdue University Global, continuing her lifelong mission of patient care and leadership.
Nancy’s journey took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. But in true warrior spirit, she did not let it define her—she emerged not just as a survivor, but as a thriver. She uses her experience to inspire and support others facing their own battles, proving that resilience is not just about overcoming obstacles, but about finding strength in the process.
Her contributions to healthcare and her personal journey have earned her numerous accolades, including the Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Southwest Asia Service Medal. But beyond the awards, Nancy’s greatest achievement is the impact she has had on those she serves—both in the medical field and in the cancer community.
Her story is a testament to perseverance, compassion, and the belief that even in life’s most challenging moments, there is always an opportunity to rise.
